Fathom AI Pricing: Is It Worth It in 2026?
By Sanduni
Growth Content Editor

So you’re looking at Fathom AI’s pricing structure and you’re wondering, “Is it worth it?” I wondered the same thing, so I tried it, read reviews from actual users, and looked at all of their plans. Here’s what I found.
Fathom does some things well, AI-generated summaries, transcription in multiple languages, and CRM integration. And there’s even a generous free plan that offers unlimited transcriptions, stroage, recording length and recordings.
But if you want all core features and the fancy features, like coaching and deal views for sales-related tasks, you have to upgrade to their most expensive package.
And even then, there are some issues. The bot crashes every meeting (which is distracting), the timestamps are off, and customer support isn’t always reliable.
When it comes to Fathom’s pricing and premium features, some plans seem reasonable, while others seem to be a tad bit expensive. So, how much should you pay? And is it worth it?
For all that and more let’s take a look.
Capture your first meeting
Jamie transcribes your computer's audio directly, with no meeting bots joining your call. Available for MacOS and Windows.
TL;DR
- The article reviews Fathom AI's pricing and features (Free, Premium at $19/user/month, Team at $29/user/month, Team Pro at $39/user/month), noting its strengths in transcription and summaries but highlighting user drawbacks like inaccurate timestamps, bot interruptions, and issues with in-person meetings.
- It consistently contrasts Fathom with Jamie, an alternative tool that works without a meeting bot, prioritizes privacy, and supports both online and in-person meetings.
Fathom Pricing Plans

Here’s the thing: If you’re going to use Fathom, you’ll likely need to pay for a paid plan. Fathom offers several pricing plans, including a free plan for occasional users. Here’s a quick breakdown of its pricing plans:
1. Fathom's Free Plan
Fathom’s Free Plan is a good starting point, offering basic transcription services for individual users. It’s a great option for those who only need the occasional meeting notes.
Key Features Included in the Free Plan
- AI-generated meeting notes
- Basic transcription
- Limited storage for past meetings
- Platforms Supported: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams
- Recordings/Month: Unlimited
- Recording Storage: Unlimited
- Recording Length: Unlimited
- Transcription: Unlimited (Supports 25 Languages)
- AI Meeting Summaries: Advanced summaries for first 5 meetings
Drawbacks | Inaccurate timestamps and constant disruptions
"After their update, it all went downhill. The timestamps are EXTREMELY inaccurate. Like, for a 2-3 hour Zoom call, it will show timestamps as if my call was 6 minutes. Or it will categorize things in 45 minute chunks (which are also inaccurate). It's been happening for weeks, ever since they updated their platform. The service is now unusable. The meeting assistant also keeps leaving and then joining the meeting about 100x times per meeting which is super annoying. I've complained about it many times, but they just say it's new or they're aware of it. But WEEKS later, no resolution."
This is a major drawback because if you’re relying on accurate timestamps to organize your meetings or track important moments, this can be a major pain. According to the above user, they have been sitting in a lengthy 2-3 hour call, only to find the tool recording their time as if it were just a few fleeting minutes. It makes the service feel completely unreliable.
Plus, the constant joining and leaving of the meeting bot disrupts the attention and makes it hard to focus. You can’t plan your work around a tool that’s not working, and the prolonged lack of a fix only makes the frustration worse. It’s disappointing when it feels like your concerns are being ignored.
Did You Know Jamie's Ask AI Can Help You Find Meeting Notes Instantly??
I totally get how frustrating it can be when you need to find something from a past meeting, but the timestamps are all over the place, or worse, your notes are a jumbled mess. Jamie's Ask AI makes it a snap to search through past meeting notes, so you can find exactly what you need in seconds. You can forget about digging through transcriptions to find what you need or fighting inaccurate timestamps!
Just open any meeting and use Ask AI, type in your query, and Jamie will find it for you in an instant. Plus, Jamie doesn't rely on annoying bots that keep joining and leaving your meetings, allowing you to stay focused without distractions.
Ask AI helps you extract insights like specific summaries, speaker contributions, follow-ups, and "needle-in-a-haystack" searches across your meeting history.
2. Fathom Premium Plan ($19 per user per month)
At $19 per user per month, the Premium Plan ups the stakes with AI-driven features, customization, and expanded integrations compared to the free version.
The free version offers basic functionalities, but the Premium Plan provides additional features such as unlimited storage and recordings, making it ideal for users seeking enhanced capabilities.
Additional Features in the Premium Plan
- AI Meeting Summaries: Unlimited
- AI Action Items
- AI Follow-Up Emails
- Customize AI Summaries
- Ask Fathom
- Download Recordings: Unlimited
- Cut Clips from Meetings: Unlimited
- Playlists of Clips: Unlimited (Create playlists of highlights from your meetings)
- Global Search: Search for attendees or keywords across all of your meetings
- Disable In-Meeting Banners
- Customize Meeting Bot Name
- Slack Integration
- CRM Sync (HubSpot, Salesforce, Close): Limited (Up to 3 users per email domain)
- Zapier Integration: Limited (Build automations for your own meetings)
Drawbacks | Not great for in-person meetings
"It is designed to be used with video meetings and is not optimized for in-person meetings."
This can be a disappointment if you were hoping to use the tool for both video and in-person meetings. If you’re anything like me, you want a tool that performs well in any setting. It’s frustrating when something that works in online video meetings doesn’t work when you have a meeting offline and face-to-face. This might lead you to download extra tools or gather other additional devices at your convenience, to use during an offline/in-person meeting setting.
Did You Know Jamie Works for Both Online and In-Person Meetings?
Sometimes you’re on a video call, and other times you’re meeting in person. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have a tool that works everywhere without additional stress? With Jamie, you can! You can be in an online Zoom meeting or sitting in a cafe without the internet, Jamie transcribes both online and in-person meetings with the same level of detail. (Including AI summaries) No extra setup, no missing notes, just transcription and AI summary no matter where you are.
3. Fathom Team Edition ($29 per user per month)
Additional Features in the Team EditionEverything in Premium Plan, plus:
- Unlimited CRM Sync (HubSpot, Salesforce, Close)
- Unlimited Zapier Integration
- Team Members: Unlimited (Includes free view-only users)

- Comments & Mentions

Drawbacks | Requires a bot in the call for quality
"How it requires a bot to be in the call, but that's just what you have to do to get the quality."
This can be a real pain because you have to accept having a bot constantly in your meetings just to achieve decent performance. I get the desire for quality, but it can feel frustrating to have a bot intruding on your calls, especially if it disrupts the natural flow of conversation. It can make things feel a bit awkward, and having an extra participant (who’s not really a person) just feels off.
You don’t want to compromise your meeting experience like this just for quality. It can make the whole experience feel less professional, which is far from ideal for anyone trying to focus on important work.
Drawbacks | Annoying bot interruptions and unresolved integration issues
"I'm not a fan of having a bot join my calls, but most call recorders work this way, so there might not be much that Fathom can do about this. I did have some issues with the Hubspot integration, which support is investigating, but two weeks later, they are still not resolved."
As I mentioned in the previous drawback as well, having a bot in your meetings can feel like an unwelcome distraction, especially when you’re trying to stay focused on the conversation.As you can clearly tell from multiple users, it's not a pleasant sight. Here's how Fathom's bot actually looks like;

Plus, if you’re relying on tools like Hubspot for your workflow, and the integration isn’t functioning properly, it can throw a wrench in everything. Waiting two weeks for a fix makes you question whether the support team is truly there for you. If you depend on smooth integrations to get your work done efficiently, this is definitely something to weigh before making a commitment.
Drawbacks | Difficult to Remove From Meetings and Shows as Participant
"Hard to make it leave the meeting, when you don't intend to. Also - it being explicitly present as a participant in Zoom."
Again, and again, we keep getting the same issue with Fathom AI's bot. And I can completely empathize with how annoying it would be to have it constantly show up as a participant, especially when you’re just trying to utmost best to keep the meeting focused. It’s tough to concentrate and maintain control when something that’s supposed to assist ends up being a nuisance instead. You want a tool that quietly works in the background, not one that forces its presence into your meeting.
Did You Know Jamie Lets You Take Notes Without a Bot in Your Meeting?
I get it, having a bot join your team's meetings, just to record and take notes can feel awkward. Nobody likes an extra participant who doesn’t belong there, ESPECIALLY A BOT!
With Jamie, you don’t have to worry about that! Jamie works silently in the background, capturing everything without needing a bot to join. That means no awkward interruptions, no extra participants, and no distractions, just smooth, professional meetings. This makes Jamie perfect for private conversations, client calls, or any meeting where you want to stay fully focused.
No bots, no interruptions, just easy note-taking.
However, it's your duty to let the attendees know that you are "transcribing" the meeting. You are not recording the audio or video, simply a transcription.
4. Fathom Team Edition Pro ($39 per user per month)
Additional Features in the Team Edition ProEverything in Team Edition, plus:
- Deal View for Sales Teams
- Coaching Metrics for Performance Insights
- Single Sign-on (SSO) Integration
- Custom Data Retention Policies
- Advanced Security Controls
Drawbacks | Inaccurate Output and Not Sales-Specific
"Quite a few things: Inaccurate output, Not very sales specific, I have tried other tools and they seem to be a better fit for my use cases."
I can totally see why these issues would be frustrating. When the output isn’t accurate, it can derail your entire workflow, especially when you need reliable results. If you’re counting on this tool to deliver, and it falls short, it can waste your precious time. And if the tool doesn’t cater to sales-specific needs, then it’s not really serving you well, right?
However, we also have to keep in mind that we are not really sure which package this user was on. Because only in the Teams Pro version do the features related to sales exist. And I understand it's their highest package as well, a whopping $39 per month.
It's something we have to keep in mind when considering these user reviews.
Did You Know Jamie Syncs Directly to Your CRM?
If the information isn't accurate, it can slow you down, cause confusion, and even lead to mistakes. And if you're in sales, you need insights and key points that genuinely help you close deals, not just generic notes.
That's why Jamie provides highly accurate transcriptions and summaries, tailored to your needs—whether you're in sales, marketing, or any other industry. It captures every key detail, so you don't have to second-guess or fix errors later.
Plus, Jamie syncs your meeting notes directly into the tools your team already uses, keeping your workflow smooth and your data up to date.
As you can see here, Jamie's integrations help you keep your CRM updated. You can sync summaries and transcripts directly to HubSpot contacts, deals, or companies. Need to update Attio records? Jamie sends notes as entries to people or companies. Working in Asana? Jamie pushes tasks as to-dos and attaches meeting notes as PDFs to your projects.
Beyond CRMs, Jamie works seamlessly with Notion, Google Docs, and OneNote—syncing your notes instantly so you can access them where you work. No copy-pasting, no delays, just automatic updates that keep your team aligned.
All the above user reviews are taken by G2.
How Does Jamie Differ From Fathom?

I know how vital it is to have the right AI meeting assistant that makes work easier, helps you stay focused, and delivers great notes without getting in the way of your conversations. Both Jamie and Fathom assist with note-taking, but they operate in different ways. If you’re pondering which AI meeting assistant suits you best, let me break it down for you in the simplest terms.
Capture your first meeting
Jamie transcribes your computer's audio directly, with no meeting bots joining your call. Available for MacOS and Windows.
1. No Bots in Your Meetings
One of the most significant differences is that Jamie works without a bot crashing your meeting. With Fathom, you’ll see a bot pop up as a participant in your Zoom or Teams calls. Some folks don’t mind, but for others, it can feel a bit distracting or even awkward, especially during critical client calls.
With Jamie, there’s no extra "guest" in your meeting. It works silently in the background and focuses solely on transcribing what’s said. You don’t have to worry about a bot appearing on the screen. You can just have a normal conversation and let Jamie handle the note-taking.
👉 If you prefer a more natural, bot-free meeting experience, Jamie is a fantastic choice.
2. Privacy & Data Safety First
I also know privacy is paramount, especially when discussing sensitive topics. Jamie is designed with privacy at the forefront.
- Jamie does NOT record video. Some tools (like Fathom) capture both audio and video of your meetings. That might work for some, but not everyone is comfortable with their entire meeting being saved. With Jamie, you don’t have to worry about that; only the audio is used for transcription. Well, that too is gone after transcription, as I am going to mention below.
- Jamie deletes the audio after creating your notes. This means your meeting isn’t stored anywhere once the notes are ready. Everything remains private and secure.
- If you ever feel uneasy about using a meeting tool due to privacy concerns, Jamie gives you peace of mind.
👉 If you prefer a tool that doesn’t record video and keeps your conversations private, Jamie is the better fit.
3. Works Anywhere, Even for In-Person Meetings
Not all meetings happen online. Sometimes, you’re in a face-to-face discussion, a brainstorming session, or an offsite meeting.Jamie can transcribe in-person meetings, even without internet access. All you have to do is start Jamie, and it will capture everything just like it would in a virtual meeting. Fathom, on the other hand, is primarily designed for online meetings and doesn’t perform as well for in-person discussions.
👉 If you need a tool that works for BOTH online and in-person meetings, Jamie is the way to go.
4. A Simpler, Cleaner Meeting Experience
Fathom has too many pop-ups, buttons, or floating bars that can be super distracting during a meeting. Some people find these extra features helpful, but others feel they interrupt the flow of conversation. AI meeting assistants, like Fathom and Fireflies, are designed to transform the process of capturing and utilizing information from meetings.
However, the competitive landscape between these products highlights the importance of choosing the right tool to ensure a clean and efficient meeting experience.
Fathom Has a Bright Yellow “Monologue Detection” Pop-up

This tracks how long someone is speaking. While this can be useful for keeping discussions balanced, it can also make people feel self-conscious about how much they’re talking.
Jamie Keeps Things Simple

You won’t see any distracting pop-ups or bars during your meetings. The only small timer you’ll see tracks the total meeting time, nothing flashy or intrusive.👉 If you want a tool that stays out of the way and lets you focus, Jamie is a great choice.
5. Quick and Easy Meeting Notes on the Go with Jamie's iOS App
No more scrambling to take notes during in-person meetings when you're away from your desk. With Jamie's iOS app, you can record meetings straight from your phone and get accurate transcripts and summaries that sync seamlessly with your desktop workspace.
Just open the app, hit record, and Jamie captures everything while you focus on the conversation.
👉 If you're looking for a tool that lets you capture meeting notes anywhere, Jamie's iOS app will be super helpful!
What makes Jamie's iOS app great:
- Record in-person meetings: Capture face-to-face conversations directly from your phone
- Instant sync across devices: Access your meetings on both mobile and desktop
- Push notifications: Get alerts when your summary is ready
- Tasks on mobile: Create and manage action items right from your phone
- Share from anywhere: Sync to Notion, Google Docs, or OneNote directly from mobile
- Privacy first: Same GDPR compliance and AES encryption as the desktop app
6. A More Powerful AI for Better Notes
Jamie and Fathom both use AI to create meeting notes, but Jamie is more powerful because it gives you the tools to organize, structure, and extract insights from your meetings—not just transcribe them.
Jamie's notes are more organized and structured due to its advanced AI features. Instead of giving you a long transcript or generic notes, Jamie breaks down your meeting into key areas, such as decisions, action items, and next steps. It's much easier to refer back to when you need specific information.
Here's what makes Jamie's AI stand out:
Templates: Control exactly how your meeting summaries are structured. Create custom templates for different meeting types—sales calls get one format, standups get another. Jamie can even auto-apply the right template based on your meeting content, so summaries come out ready to use without manual reformatting.
Ask AI: Query your meeting history to find specific information instantly. Ask questions like "What objections did the customer raise?" or "What did we decide about the timeline?" and Jamie searches across all your meetings to give you answers with context—no digging through transcripts required.
7. No Extra Setup or Plugins Required
One of the best things about Jamie is how easy it is to use.Jamie works with ANY video conferencing platform. Whether you use Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or something else, Jamie works with you. No plugins or extensions are required. With Jamie, you don’t have to change what you’re doing. It works wherever you go.
👉 If you want a tool that’s easy to use and works with anything, Jamie is the better choice.
Final Thoughts | Jamie Or Fathom?
Jamie and Fathom are both great tools, but they are suited for different users.
- Use Fathom if you need a lot of CRM integration and don’t mind having a bot in your meetings.
- Use Jamie if you want a bot-free, privacy-focused, CRM integration, distraction-free meeting experience with powerful AI and better search.
If you value privacy, simplicity, and flexibility, Jamie is the better choice.I hope this helps you make the right choice! 🙂 If you’re interested, try Jamie for free and see how it can help you. No bots, no hassle, just great notes.
