As the team behind Jamie AI, we’re incredibly proud of the work that’s gone into building it. But pride and perspective don’t always go hand in hand.
That’s why this Jamie review steps back from the builder’s seat and takes an objective look at the tool—its strengths, shortcomings, and who it’s built for.
My goal here is to help decide if it truly deserves a spot in your workflow.
I’ll evaluate Jamie across the following criteria:
- Core features
- User interface
- Security measures
- Integrations
- Customer support
- Pricing
- User reviews
- Comparison with alternatives
Let's begin, shall we?
Jamie Overview
Jamie is an AI-powered meeting notes app that works across all meeting platforms. It records audio from both online and in-person meetings, then automatically transcribes and organizes the conversation into structured, easy-to-read, and actionable summaries.
See how Jamie works:
With minimal setup and no manual note-taking required, Jamie helps teams stay focused and aligned without missing a detail.
Who is Jamie best for?
Jamie Core Features
1. Bot-free meetings
A common objection users have with popular meeting notes apps is that they send a bot to all meetings. The bot remains in the meeting like an unwanted guest, which feels intrusive. Some participants feel nervous thinking they’re being recorded, and some feel worried about their privacy.
Jamie addresses this concern.
It offers bot-free meetings. Jamie runs in the background silently without interrupting the flow of your meeting.
2. Accurate transcription
After the meeting ends, Jamie processes the audio and delivers an accurate transcription. It picks up on the nuances of natural speech and identifies speakers with precision—whether it’s a one-on-one or a large town hall.
If you work in tech and your conversations are full of industry-specific terms, you can add them as custom words so Jamie captures them flawlessly. And the more you use it in your meetings, the better it gets!
3. Actionable summary
Jamie turns the meeting transcript into a high-quality, human-like summary that highlights key discussion points, speakers, and action items. It understands the context of your conversations and distinguishes between what’s important and what’s just small talk.
The action items lay out exactly what needs to happen next. If someone missed a meeting, the summary gives them everything they need to get up to speed—they won’t even need to go through the whole transcript.
4. Easy notes sharing
You can easily share your meeting summaries and action items with attendees, colleagues, or friends—even if they don’t use Jamie. There are a few simple ways to do it:
- Share with one click directly with participants or via email
- Copy and paste the notes wherever you need
- Generate a shareable URL
To avoid unwanted editing, only you’ll have permission to edit the notes. Viewers can read the notes, but they won’t be able to make any changes.
5. Executive Assistant Sidebar to answer questions
Retrieving meeting notes with Jamie is effortless. Whether you’re searching for details from a past conversation or looking for specific insights, Jamie’s Executive Assistant Sidebar (its built-in AI assistant accessible by CTRL + J on Windows or command + J on Mac) has you covered.
Powered by advanced language models like GPT-4, Claude 3.5, and Jamie’s own AI, it can also write follow-up emails, give you campaign ideas, and answer general questions (i.e., not related to past meetings). Depending on the type of query, you can switch between the models and get tailored responses.
And you know the best part? The sidebar is always accessible, even when you’re working in other apps.
6. Works for virtual and in-person meetings
Yes, you heard that right! Jamie works in any meeting setup, whether you’re on a video call or meeting a client in person at a cafe.
Now you can stay fully engaged during on-site conversations too, and give your notebook a break—Jamie’s got the note-taking covered.
7. Supports multiple languages
Jamie automatically detects the language spoken in your meeting and generates the transcript, summary, and action items in that same language.
It's a great fit for global teams working across multiple regions.
Supported languages include:
🇬🇧 English
🇪🇸 Spanish
🇮🇹 Italian
🇵🇹 Portuguese
🇩🇪 German
🇫🇷 French
🇯🇵 Japanese
🇵🇱 Polish
🇷🇺 Russian
🇳🇱 Dutch
🇮🇩 Indonesian
🇹🇷 Turkish
🇸🇪 Swedish
🇺🇦 Ukrainian
🇲🇾 Malay
🇫🇮 Finnish
🇹🇭 Thai
🇩🇰 Danish
Jamie supports 28+ languages in total through its auto-detect feature. While you can use it in many more, the ones listed above consistently deliver the best results in terms of summary quality and transcription accuracy.

Jamie Interface: Is It Easy to Use?
Jamie features a clean, minimalist interface with dark mode for a comfortable experience. Navigation is intuitive. After just one or two meetings, you’ll feel right at home.
You won’t have to worry about forgetting to hit record. Whenever you join a virtual meeting, Jamie detects that your microphone is in use and sends a gentle reminder to start a summary.
Click the ‘Start meeting’ button to automatically begin the recording.
How to enable mic-based reminders?
Mic-based reminders are enabled by default, so you don’t need to configure anything manually.
However, if you turned them off after signing up, here’s how to re-enable them:
- Go to Settings
- Select Preferences
- Click on Notifications
- Toggle on ‘Notify when mic is used’
Jamie Security Measures
At Jamie, data protection is at the heart of our product.
As a company based in Germany, Jamie strictly adheres to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), one of the most comprehensive data protection laws in the world.
All data is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) both in transit and at rest. And to ensure ongoing protection, our team undergoes regular security training and follows best practices for responsible data handling.
Where is your data stored—and what happens to it?
- When you record a meeting, the audio is uploaded to a secure server in Frankfurt, Germany
- It’s then processed in a serverless GPU environment powered by Beam. Once processing is complete and your transcript is ready, the audio file is permanently deleted
- Your transcript is stored on a secure server in Frankfurt, Germany so it’s accessible when you need it
- To generate smart meeting notes, the transcript is briefly processed via Anthropic’s API. However, no data is stored there, and none of it is used for training
- Your final meeting summary and transcript are saved on your local device and securely backed up on our Frankfurt server
Your data stays in your hands, and on your terms.
Jamie Integrations
With virtual meeting apps: Jamie works with all video conferencing apps, be it Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, or something else—no need for complex integrations.
With calendar apps: You can sync Jamie with your Google or Outlook Calendar—or both. Once connected, your upcoming events show up right on your dashboard, so you’re always a step ahead.
It also auto-renames your meeting notes to match the calendar event title, so your recaps are always labeled and easy to find.
What Jamie doesn’t do (yet):
Jamie doesn’t integrate directly with communication or CRM tools. But sharing is still simple—just copy and paste your notes, or drop in a link to your meeting summary wherever you need it.
Jamie Customer Support
Jamie’s in-depth help center covers most questions with clear how-to guides and troubleshooting tips.

Verdict: Is Jamie Really Worth It?
After breaking down Jamie’s features, real-world use cases, pricing, integrations, and user feedback, the big question remains: Is Jamie the right fit for you?
Jamie isn’t built to be a one-size-fits-all solution—and that’s intentional. Instead, it focuses on doing a few things incredibly well: delivering accurate meeting notes, protecting your privacy, and keeping your workflow simple and bot-free.

❌ Rely heavily on mobile apps (Jamie currently doesn’t offer one)
❌ Are looking for the lowest-priced solution (While Jamie offers strong value, it's not the cheapest)
